4.51.1 BA in Political Science

A.听FACULTY OF ARTS REQUIREMENTS

Students must adhere to the applicable Faculty of Arts requirements in 3.4 Graduation.

B.听MAJOR-FIELD REQUIREMENTS

Students must successfully complete a minimum of 7.0 and a maximum of 10.0 full-course equivalents in the Field of Political Science while fulfilling the following requirements:

1.Introduction: 1.0 full-course equivalents in Political Science at the 200 level.

2.听Canadian Politics: Political Science 321.

3.听Breadth in Political Science: 5.5 full course equivalents from the Field of Political Science, which must include any three of the following:

(a)听Political Science 310

(b)听Political Science 359 and an additional 0.5 full-course equivalents in 鈥淐omparative Politics鈥� (see the categories of courses in the Field of Political Science) at the 300 level or above.

(c)听Political Science 381 and an additional 0.5 full-course equivalents in 鈥淚nternational Relations鈥� (see the categories of courses in the Field of Political Science) at the 300 level or above.

(d)听Political Science 399

4.听Advanced-Level Political Science: Inclusive of the courses used to fulfill requirements 3听 above, at least 2.0 full-course must be at the 400 level or above.

C.听DEGREE OPTIONS

The BA in Political Science can be taken with Cooperative Education. See section 3.4.5 Co-operative Education Programs for information and requirements.
